It is vitally important to us that we look after your health. That is why we use the most modern sterilization and disinfecting techniques.
Needles are SINGLE USE ONLY If we give you an injection, the needle and anaesthetic cartridge used are single-use. They come in sterile containers and are disposed after they are used on each person. We never sterilize and re-use needles.
Clean Instruments Any instrument that goes in your mouth, including the drills, has been sterilized. We do not wipe over or merely boil our instruments. Both these methods have been shown to be ineffective.
Gloves and Masks We wear gloves and masks for all procedures. We do not wash gloves between people but throw them away and get a new pair for every person.
Safety Glasses When we work on you we put on dark tinted safety glasses. These prevent headaches from looking at the bright light, and also prevents the possibility of anything going in your eyes.
Oral Cancer Check Each time we do a dental check-up we also do an oral cancer check. Early detection is the key to successful treatment.
Do we treat people with AIDS? It's impossible for us to know for sure the full medical situation of every person we see, so we treat every single person who comes to see us as if they had AIDS. We take full precautions with everyone.
Medical History Update Medical conditions can have a bearing on the treatment and medication we prescribe. That is why we take a thorough medical history and update it at regular intervals.
